Vegan Wit' a Twist

Vegan Wit' a Twist serves up a very different style of food than the other spots on this list. Instead of focusing on healthy, green foods, they create vegan versions of classic comfort foods. Think burgers, tacos & burritos. This casual, counter-service, spot in the CBD is a great place to try something different.

There's also a full bar and a mean lavender lemonde frozen daq to was everything down. Kindred is a vegan-friendly spot in uptown New Orleans, with a focus on comfort food and a homey, casual atmosphere.

Seed, which has a completely vegetarian menu, is perfect for those who are looking for a unique and delicious option. The menu is varied and filled with some pretty indulgent options. The eggplant shwarma is a standout - the eggplant is fried and coated in a delicious toum sauce, and their Naan bread is a perfect vehicle for a meal. Seed’s green walls and plants help to create a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. Seed is a great option for vegetarians in the Lower Garden District.

Carmo
Vegetarian ● VeganCBD

Carmo

This is a great spot when you're looking for something a little different. The food is a mix of Caribbean, Central and South American, West African, Southeast Asian, Gulf South, and beyond. The dishes are all relatively small and shareable, and the food is a carefully-crafted blend of unique and little-known flavors from around the world. Dishes like the vegan ceviche with mushrooms, beans, and cucumber, marinated in lime, passionfruit, and caju juices highlight unique flavors. About half the menu is vegetarian, and they also have vegan replacements for almost every dish so vegetarians will not be lacking choices. With the bright airy design and delicious, authentic food, Carmo is a great spot to go for a meal in the CBD.
